TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – India is becoming a great market for automotive makers, as they compete to grab market shares by releasing their latest product in the land of Mahatma Gandhi.
Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. is a Japanese-based manufacturer that is eager to release its product in India. Nissan is very ambitious in increasing their brand image through the eyes of Indian consumers.
In the near future, Nissan will launch a sport utility vehicle (SUV) Patrol variant to be marketed in the form of completely built-up (CBU) units.
As reported in AutoCar on Thursday, March 18, the latest look of the Nissan Patrol will be bigger than its predecessor. The seven-seater SUV is said to be the tough competitor of the Toyota Land Cruiser.
With a four-wheel drive and high ground clearance, the car looks manlier and ready for off-road. The car comes with a 5.6 liter V8 gasoline engine with 400 bhp and 57 kgm of torque.
Its interior is also said to be as good as its rival, the Land Cruiser. According to rumors, the price will be close to other premium SUVs such as the Mercedes Benz GL and the Audi Q7. Nissan, however, has yet to announce a price tag.
