TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - Police have asked the people of Bekasi to increase security in their neighborhood. Following massive on-the-road operation, police suspected that 'begal' thugs will shift its target of operation.
"Recent crime pattern focuses on residential area," said Bekasi Chief of Police, Senior Commissioner Rudi. Rudi added that the on-the-road operation played a significant role in suppressing crime rate, especially thuggery. Bekasi Police, in their recent operation, managed to shoot dead two begal suspects following an intense firefight.
Moreover, the Police plan to intensify their operation in crime prone areas. Rudi also asked the public to help minimize crime rate. "Please report immediately when you see something suspicious," said Spokesman of Bekasi Police, Commissioner Siswo.
