TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) believed that the administration that he leads with President Joko Widodo would last until the next five years because the government, he said, continued to improve political and economic sectors.
"A government will collapse if two crisis strike: economic crisis and political crisis at the same time,” said the Vice President in Yogyakarta on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Kalla cited the example of the second Indonesian President, Soeharto, whose administration collapsed because of the monetary and trust crisis.
"With God’s blessing, (our government) will continue for five years. We are always trying to improve economic and political condition,” he said.
According to Kalla, a vulnerable government is the one that adopts the parliamentary system.
Speculation was rife among people that the administration of Joko Widodo would not last long, with one of the reasons being Jokowi did not inaugurate Chief of the National Police that was approved by the House of Representatives (DPR), Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan.
