TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Andrew Chan's foster father, Daniel Alexander, revealed that his son has been put in to the isolation cell in Besi Penitentiary, Nusakambangan. "I have no idea if Andrew is aware of me being here," said Daniel in Wijayapura Port, Cilacap, Central Java, on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Daniel said that the last time he met Andrew was in Krobokan Penitentiary, Bali, on February 15. He added that Andrew was in a good shape, but no question was made regarding Andrew's mental state on facing the death penalty.
Daniel claimed that he has seen some positive changes on Andrew during his time in Krobokan Penitentiary. He saw that some of fellow inmates were having difficult time in letting the Australian go to face the death squad.
Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran are known as members of the "Bali Nine" drug syndicate. The two have been transferred to Nusakambangan to wait for the time of their execution, which is likely to take place this week.
