TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The government will tender priority infrastructure projects this year through a public-private partnership (PPP) mechanism. “Four projects are ready to be tendered,” said Coordinating Economic Minister Sofyan Djalil on Wednesday.
Sofyan said the projects were part of the Committee of Infrastructure Priorities Development Acceleration's (KPPIP) programs. Three projects belong to the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry: the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road, the Manado-Bitung toll road and the West Semarang drinking water treatment system (SPAM).
The fourth project, meanwhile, is the construction of railway from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta to Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Banten under the Transportation Ministry.
The investment value for the projects is Rp11 trillion for Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road, Rp4.3 trillion for Manado-Bitung toll road, and Rp765 billion for SPAM.
According to Coordinating Maritime Minister Indroyono Soesilo, a number of investors have expressed interest in the projects. “This was already tried last year. We will lure more investors,” he said.
