TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo said that Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has offered Indonesia to exchange the two death-row convicts, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran with three Indonesian prisoners. Prasetyo said that the offer is not normal.
"[Yes], I have heard the offer. It is not equal and relevant towards what we are about to do," said Prasetyo. "[Foreign Minister] Retno told me about the offer. I said that it will not be easily met and that we do not need to consider that."
He explained that both of the convicts, who are members of the Bali Nine syndicate, have massive impacts on Indonesians. On the other hand, Australia has yet explained the cases that the three Indonesian prisoners were involved in.
