Intelligence Agency Uncovers ISIS New Method of Recuritment

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Marciano Norman, said that BIN is currently investigating the new recruitment method employed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The new method, as he referred, is by taking out Indonesians using travel bureau.
He added that method was commonly used by illegal migrant worker distributor.
"Yesterday [Wednesday, March 4], we had 16 Indonesians joining a trip with a travel bureau to Turkey. When the time they are supposed to return, they were gone," said Marciano.
Marciano said that BIN has informed Turkish Police and Intelligence Agency to track the missing 16 people. BIN has also take note on the travel bureau, which is not officially registered.
Moreover, Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri, said that migration process needs to be carefully monitored. Hanif believed that ISIS supporters will not take legal means. "If they wants to join the terrorist cell, they will not take legal means," he said.
