TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - “Sol do la fa mi do re, sol do la si do re do...” . Terts musical group from Makassar performed ‘Do Re Mi’ to close their appearance at the ‘Bunyi Bunyi Perhalaman edisi #6’ (Sounds of Each Page 6th Ediition) music event which was held at the fornt yard of Rumah Budaya Rumata’s Makassar on February 15.
Terts is made up of seven young members and creates music in skiffle genre.
“Skiffle was popular in 1980s,” said Rezki Ramadhan - or Kiki-, the basist.
There are touches of jazz, blues and folk in skiffle. By playing this kind of music, according to Kiki, they can feel a flow of nostalgia for musics they often heard in their childhood.
Before closing their performance sith ‘Do Re Mi’ , Terts had performed four songs including The Beatles’ ‘I Will’ . Despite of a little nervousness, the group was success in bringing out the unusual music to the stage. Audiences were taken to enjoy music of the past time.
The band which was formed in 2013 has given birth to four songs. Asked about their future plan, Terts said they just want to continue create more songs without aiming for flowery goals.
