New Social Media Opini.id Offers 'Polling' Feature

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A new local information-based social media Opini.id is surfing into waves of social media euphoria in Indonesia by offering Polling feature. Opini.id describes itself as a social media that encourage internet users to share their statements, opinions, questions, and comments on issues.

“It enables people who are curious of an issue to get accurate answer,” said the founder and Editor in Chief of Opini.id, Indra Bigwanto in Jakarta, on Thursday, February 26.

According to Indra, polling will also becomes a helpful tool for students or companies who are working on research. Topics mostly surfaced on the Polling include issues on poverty, family, and national issues.

Opini.id was officially launched in October 2014. It is a transformation of a news portal called Opini.co.id which was founded in 2012.

Opini.id is a combo of social media and news portal,” Indra added.

For its contents, the social media is cooperating with Antara and research body Katadata. There will be mobile apps available in the next one month.
