TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Cultural Arts Foundation Board which is responsible of Institut Kesenian Jakarta, or Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ), visited Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidajat at the City Hall. Their arrival is intended to ask for financial aid from the Jakarta Administration, Antara News reported.
Responded to a number of problems that delivered by foundation board, Djarot promised to develop IKJ. However, Djarot also asked to improves the education quality in IKJ.
"IKJ should maintain their graduation to be better and consistent. I don't want IKJ just give graduation certificate," said Djarot at Jakarta City Hall.
Djarot added that the Jakarta Administration will responsible for IKJ's development. Moreover, City Government built IKJ in Governor Ali Sadikin era.
"We want IKJ to be the trigger of creative industry, producing high quality artwork which can compete in international level," he uttered.
