TEMPO.CO, Tangerang – Delays of Lion Air flights continue at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
The country’s largest budget carrier’s flights to Semarang, Bandung, Pangkal Pinang, Aceh and Pekanbaru had been delayed since Tuesday morning until afternoon.
“The delays range from 20 minutes to an hour,” Achmad Syahir, the spokesman of state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II told Tempo on Tuesday.
The airport’s senior services manager, Andika Nuryaman, said the delays had left would-be passengers stranded at the airport’s Terminal A, B and 3—akin to what took place a few days earlier. Andika said, however, that the “situation is normal and the airport is relatively empty.”
