TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Education Department of Bogor says they are not ready and capable of implementing an online National Exam (UN) or using a computer based test (CBT) system initiated by the Education and Cultural Ministry.
The supporting tools to help the implementation of online test is not ready, starting from the tools, programs and up to online coverage. “The city of Bogor is not ready to perform national exam by online,” Head of Bogor Education Department Edgar Suratman said on Monday, Feb. 23.
Bogor do not have the equipment such as computers, programs and network to conduct online test. “Not only the Education Department of Bogor that is not ready to conduct online National Test. I don’t think West Java is ready to implement it either,” Edgar said in City Hall Bogor.
One computer is allowed to be used by three students during an online test. “The number of computers are not enough to implement an online National Test. Therefore, it requires a computer procurement,” said Edgar.
According to Edgar, in the upcoming National Test, the ministry of education and culture have imposed a new technical test, which is an online test. “However, there are some areas and schools in Indonesia that still uses answer sheets, one of them maybe in Bogor,” he said.
