Johan Seems to Favor Lion Air, Expert Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation expert Dudi Sudibyo, regretted that Transportation Minister Ignasius Jonan did not show up at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport when the Transportation Ministry was investigating Lion Air last week.

"It seems that he favors [Lion]," Dudi told Tempo on Monday, February 23, 2015.

Dudi gave an example of the previous Air Asia case, where Jonan came right away to deliver sanction.

However, Dudi admitted that imposing heavy sanction, such as revocation of operating license, on the airline, may affect the public because it is known that Lion Air owns more than 50 percent of the Indonesian aviation market.
