TEMPO.CO, Subang - The scarcity of three kilogram LPGs (liquid petroleum gas) in Subang, West Java, is getting worse. Consumers must be willing to travel to other sub-districts just to get one LPG canister with a price above its highest retail price that have been set by the government.
Aisyah, a housewife in the Dawuan sub-district, said that she had just obtained a canister of three kilogram LPG in Cidahu Village, West Padaden sub-district. "It cost Rp 24,500," Aisyah said. Meanwhile, a month ago, the highest retail price was ranged between Rp 15,500 to Rp 16,000 for one canister.
Head of DPC Entrepreneurs Association of Oil and Gas of Subang District Herry Pratikto, claimed that three kilogram LPG supplies for February 2015 has been reduced "from 1.1 million tubes to 950,000 tubes."
Herry suggested that consumers should report the scarcity and skyrocketing price to Hiswanamigas, an organization of oil and gas entrepreneurs.
