TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Four robbers on motorcycles have shot and mugged Ayi Iyan Kristiansyah, 32, a rice entrepreneur living in Tatya Asri Block 6, Cijujung village, Bogor.
Due to the incident, Ayi suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and lost Rp 16m in cash. “The victim is still undergoing intensive treatment in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital Jakarta,” Chief of Sukaraja Police Precinct, Comm. Hida Tjahjono, told reporters on Monday, Feb. 16.
Hida said the robbery took place at Jalan Raya Bogor, Mede village, Bogor, Saturday evening, Feb. 14. “The victim was on his way home riding a motorcycle after closing his store,” Hida said.
The victim, riding a Honda CS motorcycle, was intercepted by four people riding two Suzuki Satrias. “The victim was intercepted from the left and right side in front of Cijujung football field, while one of the suspect snatched the victim’s bag,” he said.
Because the victim was resisting to handover the bag, one of the suspect slashed a samurai sword to his back. “But the robbers failed to snatch the bag. Finally, one of them draws a gun and shoots the victim’s chest,” he said.
Once shot, the victim fell off his bike and the robbers fled with the victim’s bag containing Rp 13m in cash, a cell phone and the keys to his rice store. “The money was from the daily rice sale and the gun used to shoot the victim is believed to be an airsoft gun, because the type of bullet used is a gotri,” said Hida.
The victim was rushed to FMC Sukaraja Hospital, but was then rushed to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, because the bullet had remain in his chest.
Hida said that the victim did not know the robbers when investigators questioned him in the hospital. Ayi said that the robbers was not wearing any helmets at the time but could not see their faces and could only identify the motorcycles they were using as a black Suzuki Satria motorbike.
