TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The dispute between the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the National Police continues. Earlier today, two organizations held a demonstration in front of the KPK office, each calling for different demands.
The first group was from the Indonesian Labor Union Confederation (FSMPI), which supports the KPK. Another group calling themselves the Save Indonesia Alliance (ASI), placed their support behind the National Police.
Each group shouted their demands. FSMPI, which brought along 300 people, were on the left hand side of the KPK Office. ASI, with much lesser masses, were on the right hand side of the office. Dozens of police officers stood by to provide security as both groups voiced ther arguments.
