TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Stoke City boss Mark Hughes plans to sign Tottenham Hotspurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor, in the end of winter transfer window. Hughes said that Adebayor can be a great addition for Stoke, especially after striker Bojan Krkic is knocked out by a lengthy knee injury.
Adebayor’s feat with Tottenham this season is far from impressive. Tottenham even plan to loan Ade to other clubs. The problem is that the Togo player requires a club with massive payroll that is willing to pay him 100,000 pounds per week.
Hughes, on the other hand, said that Adebayor has what it takes as a striker. Speaking to Mirror, Hughes said that Ade gas has the posture, height, speed, strength, and skill of a top footballer.
Adebayor currently has only little playing opportunity in Spurs. The London-based club even plan to trim down their squad, such as letting winger Aaron Lennon to play for Hull City as a loan. Therefore, it is likely that the Lily Whites give Ade a goodbye wave, sometime within the next 24 hours.
