TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, said that he will install CCTV in the entire capital city in order to monitor every corner of Jakarta.
Ahok's statement was made in response to The Economist Intelligence Unit's survey result that stated Jakarta the most unsafe city in the world from out of 50 capital cities.
According to Ahok, the CCTV will decrease criminal activities in Jakarta. He also said that he will place snipers.
Additionally, Ahok will also use the police to secure the capital city from crimes and said he has donated around 300 motorcycles for the police and the armed forces to chase down runaway criminals.
