TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardojo said that Indonesia needs to keep an eye on global economy, oil and commodity price drop included.
Agus said that Indonesian main export commodity is on a down trend. "In future market, we see eight main commodities that will experience a little adjustment this year," he said.
Moreover, Agus said that Indonesia needs to have a closer look upon United States and China, particularly on United States improving economy. On the other words, Indonesia needs to anticipate Rupiah exchange value.
As for China, the nation is undergoing economic growth less than 7 percent, notably a low rate in China. It generally affects Indonesia, be it in trade and finance.
Nevertheless, Agus is assured that Indonesian economy is in the right track. "We can see it from the inflation rate," he said.
