TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - To facilitate street vendors in the capital, PD Pasar Jaya with Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency (KUMKMP) will provide a total of 15,000 empty stalls in appointed markets to be used by the vendors.
Head of PD Pasar Jaya, Agus Lamun admitted to own 15,000 empty stalls that spread around 153 traditional markets. All of the empty kiosks will be provided for the illegal PKL who still don't have the trading place. "Yes, we still have the empty stalls and it possible to be used by them," he said at the City Hall, as quoted by Antara News.
Although Lamun still not give full detail about the stalls' location, he admitted the PKL will be placed near from their previous trading place. "The locations surely near from PKL trading place," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of KUMKMP Department, Joko Kundaryo admitted that his side has got explanation from PD Pasar Jaya related to the PKL relocation to the 153 traditional markets. Later, the PKL will be recorded by five municipalities KUMKMP sub-department, and they will be relocated to the empty stalls.
"I have sent the information to Head of KUMKMP sub-department at municipalities to send info to PD Pasar Jaya and help to relocate the PKL," he stated.
Joko explained that the vendors who will get the stalls must have Jakarta ID cards (KTP). "Department head has sent letter to there about the location that near to the empty kiosks, Later, the vendors will also get special treatment," he uttered.
