TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After breaking contract with PT Jakarta Monorail, Jakarta Secretary Saefullah asked the monorail's abandoned infrastructure poles to be demolished. Moreover, the poles were built without using the APBD (City Budget) or APBN (State Budget), so the demolition will not cause losses to the state.
"The City Administration asked to demolish the poles immediately, because this project did not use APBD or APBN but from cooperation among PT JM and PT Adhi Karya ," said Saefullah.
Saefullah added that the poles existence also have no benefit. "The poles are not giving benefit to the city. Because there is no progress, we also cannot continue cooperation," he added.
As known, the monorail project has been postponed since 2007. A total of 90 poles stand along HR Rasuna Said Street and Asia Afrika Street.
