TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Malaysia Airlines website has been hacked by Lizard Squad, a group claiming to be a supporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

As reported by ABC News on Monday, the webstie carried the headline “404 – Plane Not Found” and “Hacked by Cyber Caliphate”.

The website also contains an image of a tuxedo-wearing lizard and shows “Hacked by Lizard Squad – Official Cyber Caliphate”.

The group is also the one who took credit for the attacks that took down the Sony Playstation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox Live network.

In August, the group also tweeted to Malaysia Airlines that their plane exploded after Sony Online Entertainment president who boarded the plane wanted it to change course.

In a statement, Malaysia Airlines said its Internet domain name had been compromised and re-directing users. They said they need 22 hours to restore its website.
