Denny said that there are 23 flood-prone locations in Jakarta, including Kemang, Cilincing, Kelapa Gading and Kebon Pala. It is estimated that 275,000 people will be affected by the floods.
Rubber boats will be used to evacuate residents from their houses. "The fire department and Satpol PP are ready to provide rubber boats," said Denny.
The BPBD also works with the Indonesian Red Cross to prepare medical supplies because people affected by floods often suffer from various diseases, such as diarrhea, fever, respiratory infection and skin disease.
