TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of private property developers have welcomed Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama’s plan to build light rail transit (LRT) in Jakarta. Summarecon Agung director Adrianto P. Adhi told Tempo that Ahok called on property developers to invest in the LRT development and offered compensation.
According to Adrianto, he was interested in the offer as Ahok promised to approve permits to increase the additional building floor (KLB). Therefore, Summarecon’s buildings, passed by LRT routes, would be allowed to have additional floors.
Adrianto revealed that the LRT route that connects Kelapa Gading-Kebayoran Lama passes Summarecon’s residential at Kelapa Gading, Kelapa Gading Mall and several apartments. The LRT route will connect the area to other parts of Jakarta, used as venues for the 2018 Asian Games.
Pakuwo Group President Director Stefanus Ridwan said that his company is read to work with the Jakarta administration to build LRT. According to Stefanus, all developers invited by Ahok were interested in the LRT project.
Intiland Development spokesperson Theresia Rustandi said that her company also favored the idea for the sake of Jakarta development.
