TEMPO.CO, California – Instant messaging app WhatsApp can now be accessed from PC via Google Chrome browser.
“Today, for the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser,” announced WhatsApp on its WhatsApp Blog on Thursday.
Access from browser will be connected to WhatsApp on the mobile. Messages sent from mobile can be seen in the browser version, which will be available by updating WhatsApp to its latest version.
In order to connect to web browser, users can simply open https://web.whatsapp.com on Google Chrome where users will see a QR code which must be scanned from WhatsApp app on the mobile in order for the mobile to be paired with the WhatsApp web client.
Mobile must stay connected with the Internet to ensure that WhatsApp on computer can continue to be used.
“Unfortunately for now, we will not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform limitations,” said WhatsApp.
