TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Oil and Gas Governance Reform Team on Wednesday consulted with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) about management of Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama refinery in Tuban, East Java.
Reform Team chairman Faisal Basri said the KPK gave inputs that must be considered before developing the production of the oil refinery with RON 92.
The old owner, Honggo, is still not fully released from the refinery. So, this is a warning from KPK,” said Faisal on Wednesday.
He said as long as Honggo is still in the refinery, the money poured by the government to develop fuel production from premium to pertamax will go the old owner.
He further said KPK did not suggest that the refinery must be fully owned by Pertamina. “KPK did not go there,” said Faisal, adding that KPK has its eyes on the old owner that is still lurking in the company.
