WWF, West Manggarai Govt Committed to Sustainable Development

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Manggarai Regency Administration and WWF Indonesia signed Collaboration Treaty regarding management of the marine and small island resources to achieve sustainable development in the regency.
Based on the press release received by ANTARA News, the signing was done in Labuan Bajo by West Manggarai Regent, Agustinus Ch. Dulla and the WWF Indonesia Director of Coral Triangle Program, Wawan Ridwan.
“Through this collaboration, WWF is hopeful that management implementation and zonation plan run effectively, and to make sure that tourism sector will not only sustain the marine and coastal resources of inside and outside of Komodo National Park, but also sustain the prosperous living of the residents,” Wawan said.
West Manggarai Regency is located in the Coral Triangle area which has the highest marine biodiversity in the world.
