TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Striker Didier Drogba seems to be careless of Chelsea’s recently-broken undefeated run. The Ivory Coast international was quoted of saying that what mattered most were the trophies.
Previously, Chelsea had made an impressive run at the start of this season, before losing to Newcastle at the St. James Park.
Chelsea’s post on top of the table is also at stake now as Manchester City are crawling up on the table. Tonight, the Blues will have another test in the Premier League festive period as they take on Stoke City.
Gearing up for tonight’s clash, Drogba said that Chelsea today had a different approach than Chelsea in his first term in London during 2004-2012. Nevertheless, the gracefully-aging striker claimed that the club still had the spirit to win more trophies this year, be it at the domestic or European level.
