TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Martin Skrtel saved Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers by the bell with his goal in Anfield on injury time. Playing against Arsenal, Skrtel scored a late equalizer deep in the second half for a 2-2 result.
Despite dominating the match in the first half, the Reds found it difficult to make a break with a goal. It was until the end of the first half, when Philippe Coutinho scored the first goal of the night. The Gunners fired a quick response, scoring an equalizer in less than a minute.
On the second half, Arsenal had the upper hand as French striker Giroud scored a goal in the 64th. Liverpool then had to lose Fabio Borini in the 90th minute, after receiving the second yellow card.
Fortunately for the Reds, assistant referee brandished a 9-minute added time, in which Martin Skrtel scored the most-anticipated equalizer.
The draw put Arsenal on sixth of the table, with 27 points out of 17 matches. Liverpool, on the other hand, stuck at 10th with 22 points.
