TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Islamic Defender Front’s (FPI) Governor of Jakarta, Fahrurrozi Ishaq, said that he is set to oppose all decisions made by the official governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama. "I disapprove all of his decisions," said Fahrurrozi in his office at Tebet, South Jakarta.
He pointed out some of Ahok’s decisions that he opposes, including the inauguration of Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat, banning motorcycle in HI Boulevard, and booze legalization.
Fahrurrozi claimed that Deputy Governor should be from Jakarta, like his appointed deputy Umar Mohd. Al-Hamid. As for the motorcycle ban, Fahrurrozi accused Ahok of making a stupid call, causing massive loss to the society.
Moreover, Fahrurrozi strongly opposes booze legalization. "We should provide tourists with local contents, such as local beer ‘pletok’ or ‘bandrek’," said Fahrurrozi. "I do not want Jakarta to be an evil nest."
