TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has signed a new contract which will keep him at Etihad Stadium until 2019, as reported by BBC Sport.
The 27-year-old, who joined City from Shrewsbury in 2006, said: "I'm really happy, I've been here a long time now and I want to keep that going.
"The club's doing amazing things at the moment, we've created history and we want to keep doing that."
The England international has won two Premier League titles and two domestic cups during eight years with the club.
Hart said: "It was never a doubt for me. It was always whether the club wanted me. I love this place."
The new contract underlines Hart's status as City's preferred goalkeeper, despite the arrival of Willy Caballero from Malaga in the summer.
Hart's place was temporarily under threat from the Argentine at the start of the season, but he returned in top form to feature in all but four games this term.
