Indonesia Targets 10 Million Foreign Tourists in 2015

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government has set a target of 10 million foreign tourists visit in 2015. "Cooperating with other ministries, we will keep promoting," said I Gusti Ngurah Putra, Inspectorate General of the Tourism Ministry on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
The Tourism Ministry is currently working with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs on the sea toll road project, which will provide access to previously unreachable tourist attractions and improving infrastructures such as road, transportation modes and others.
Another cooperation established by the TOurism Ministry is with the Justice and Human Rights Ministry regarding visa exemption for tourists originating from five countries, some of them including Japan, Australia and China, and to implement an online system for cruise ship admission.
Gusti said that promoting Indonesian tourism will be focused on online and digital media to adjust with the Ministry's budget, which is Rp300 trillion.
