TEMPO.CO, Pakistan - A recent attack launched by the Taliban in Peshawar, which killed 141 people, most of whom are students, has raised global concern, condemning the savage act. One of the significant voice condemning Taliban's atrocities was from Malala Yousafzai, a 17 years old Pakistani girl who won this year's Nobel Peace Prize for her advocacy for children's education.

"I am heartbroken by this senseless and cold blooded act of terror in Peshawar that is unfolding before us … I condemn these atrocious and cowardly acts and stand united with the government and armed forces of Pakistan,” said Malala, as cited by the Washington Post.

She said that she joins the world in mourning the children killed. "But we will never be defeated," said Yousafzai, addressing the killed children as brothers and sisters.

Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian rights activist who was awarded a separate peace prize this year, also condemned the act. He called the Taliban attackers in Peshawar "enemies of Islam."

"The terrorists who have committed this heinous crime are the enemies of humanity. They are the enemies of Allah, they are the enemies of society and they are the enemies of Islam," he said. "I pray that somewhere in their hearts, their conscience awakens."
