Upon visiting the border, Jokowi is accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Indroyono Soesilo, Homeland Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Letjen Budiman, and North Borneo Governor Irianto Lambrie. Andi said that Jokowi plans to asses border infrastructure, communication, and security.
On Monday, Jokowi joined maritime patrol inside Boeing 737 Scout Plane of the Airforce. Jokowi himself, along with Coordinating Minister of Maritime Indroyono Soesilo, monitored the ship movement on top of Sulawesi Sea.
