Bekasi Police Net Rp1.6bn from Traffic Fines

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bekasi State Court noted that non-tax state revenue (PNBP) this year has reached Rp1.624 billion. "It is from January to November 2014," said the Chief Attorney of Bekasi, Enen Saribanon.

Enen said that the most of the revenue came from traffic tickets, especially those from traffic operation. Enen mentioned that traffic tickets reached 76 out of the total PNBP of Rp2.111 billion. Amid the traffic tickets, PNBP also came from case administration and retribution.

Chief of Intelligence Department of the Bekasi State Court, Ade Hermawan, added that the number will likely to increase. It is because Traffic Operation Zebra Jaya 2014 lasts until today, December 9, and that "the tickets from Zebra Operation are yet included."
