Corruption Perception Index: Indonesia Sits on Position 107

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Result of the Corruption Perception Index issued by the Transparency International Indonesia, revealed that Indonesia has climbed seven ranks from its previous position. Indonesia currently sits on the 107th position out of 175 countries with a score of 34 .
Secretary General of Transparency International Indonesia Dadang Trisasongko, said that the improvement deserves an appreciation. Indonesia's improving rank was due to the hard work of and cooperation between the government, communities and entrepreneurs in an effort to prevent and eradicate corruption in Indonesia.
In 2014, the top-five countries with highest global score includes Denmark (92), New Zealand (91), Sweden (87) and Swiss (86), while the bottom-five countries include Somalia (8), North Korea (8), Sudan (11), Afghanistan (12) and South Sudan (15).
