Keroncong Music Captivates Odyssey Cruise Ship Passengers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gapura Surya Nusantara Terminal of Tanjung Perak Harbor in Surabaya captivated foreigners who are boarded on MV Seabourn Odyssey cruise ship with keroncong music. The Bahamian ship harbored in Tanjung Perak.
Hundreds of tourists came out of the ship to visit various displays of East Javan culture. In addition to keroncong music, the tourists were also spolied with traditional jamu (herbal drink), traditional snack klepon, and Malang mask and batik crafts.
Lizzy, one of Odyssey’s passenger was impressed with the three-storey structure of Gapura Surya terminal. The New Zealand-born woman was having her first visit to Surabaya.
“This is amazing. I feel comfortable when I enter it. Indonesians are also very friendly,” said Lizzy.
According to Tempo’s observation, there are many of the passengers came down to visit the culture and crafts booths. Arond 100 tuorists participated in the tour packages to Trowulan archaeological center in Mojokerto, and sightseeing tour around Surabaya.
The rest of tourists enthusiastically explored the terminal or just sitting to enjoy the keroncong music. The ship stayed in Tanjung Perak for only eight hours.
