TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The government appointed Dwi Soetjipto as the president director of state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina, replacing Karen Agustiawan who resigned on October 1, 2014. Dwi previously served as the president director of state-owned cement maker PT Semen Indonesia.
“The general shareholder meeting has decided Dwi Soetjipto as Pertamina president director for 2014-2019 period,” State-Owned Eterprises Minister Rini Mariani Soemarno told a press conference at her office on Friday, November 28, 2014.
In addition to appointing Dwi, the government also streamlined the board of directors to revitalize the state-owned oil company, Rini said.

Dwi was among the three names proposed by Rini to the final assessment team. The others were Zulkifly Zaini, a former president director of Bank Mandiri; and Handri Satriago, the CEO of General Electric Indonesia.
