TEMPO.CO, London - Arsenal has managed to follow Chelsea's step as the next Premier League team to go secure a spot in the Champions League top 16. The Gunners crushed German club Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in Emirates stadium earlier today.
Yaya Sanogo, recently recovered from injury, paid the trust given to him as a starter with a goal two minutes in the first half. Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez doubled the lead in the second half, after receiving a decent pass from Santi Cazorla.
The victory put Arsenal on top of group D with 10 points out of five matches. With five-point gap between Arsenal and the closest contender Anderlecht, the Gunners can be rest assured that they are going to make it to the top 16 with group runner Dortmund.
