TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama said that Jakarta is yet to optimize its Regional Budget. Therefore, Ahok said that for next year, the capital will focus on using the budget to establish cooperation with Mitra Praja Utama provinces.
Mitra Praja Utama is a forum established by 10 provinces in Indonesia, including Lampung, Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara.
"We are confused on [how to] spend the budget," said Ahok
Ahok added that cooperation with Mitra Praja Utama will help coordinate the distribution of agriculture products from each province.
Ahok said that each member of the Mitra Praja Utama province will be instructed to purchase agriculture products other members to help achieve food sustainability. "The cooperation is essential. It is better than allocating the [regional] budget for other unclear agenda," said Ahok.
