BNN Seizes 50 Kg of Marijuana in Bekasi House Raid

TEMPO.CO, Bekasi – The National Anti-Narcotics Agency (BNN) raided Wednesday a rented house in Mede sub-district, Bekasi and confiscated some 50 kilograms of marijuana from the house.

“That [the marijuana] has now become evidence,” BNN spokesman Sr. Comr. Sumirat Dwiyantio said.

The operation took place at around 12.30 p.m. and two suspects were taken into custody for questioning. The raid was carried out as a result of a prior drug bust in Ulujami, South Jakarta.

Yani (55), a resident of Bekasijaya, identified the two suspects as Yusuf and Dani. “They have just rented the house for two months,” he said.
