TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Blues Chelsea secured their Champions League knockout ticket after trashing FC Schalke 5-0 in Veltins Arena earlier today.
Chelsea skipper John Terry scored an opener two minutes in the first half, shattering home team mentality. Brazilian winger Willian scored Chelsea's second goal on the 29th. Schalke player Kirchhoff added Chelsea a favor with an own goal in the end of the first half.
In the second half, Chelsea living legend Didier Drogba scored Chelsea's fourth goal in the 76. Brazilian powerhouse Ramires sealed the victory with a goal in the end of the second half.
The victory cemented Chelsea position on top of Group G with 11 points out of 5 matches. With only one group match left, Chelsea have nothing to lose as they already booked a place in the top 16.
