TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The City Administration of Bandung is preparing a monitoring room, or an information center and response, to ease public services in the city of Bandung. The technology procurement budget for the software and hardware known as ‘the Command Center’ is worth Rp27 billion.
Sri Dhiandhini, head of Telematics Division for the Department of Communications and Information of Bandung, said that the project will require a large budget due to its highly advanced technology equipments. For example, the CCTV camera that will be installed is equipped with the ability to notify security personnel if it catches irregular activities on sight.
“It will have an analitical and feed video, every activity in the road will be recorded. It has an advance technology, so it doesn’t come cheap,” Dhini said on Tuesday, November 25.
However, Dhini said the basic technology procurement for a command center in its early stage need to be optimized with next year’s technology development.
The Command Center development was initiated by Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil to control the city and give quick solutions towards the city’s problem. It will be located in the Bandung Administration building and equipped with highly advanced computer technologies. CCTVs will also be placed in every corner of the city.
