TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Local artists again showed off their latest works at pop-culture event Hellofest Anima Expo 10, which was held from November 22-23 in Jakarta.
Hellofest founder Wahyu Aditya told a press conference on Thursday that a string of studios and artists were bound to spice up the event, including Rigarts Studio, Kolam (pool) Comik, Nusantarangers and Setan Jalanan (street ghost) Comic.
“Through a series of animation and local content event, hopefully this event can become an initiative to introduce their works to the public,” Wahyu said on Thursday. “Our mission is to promote Indonesia’s local content.”
Wahyu added the Hellofest would also showcase works from overseas artists, including a Japanese artist with a 2.5 dimension concept dubbed Roli Angles; and French-born, Oscar nominee artist Bastien Dubois with his presentation on animation development in Europe.
Similar to the previous events, Hellofest featured three flagship events this year: Hellofest Movies, KostuMasa and Hellofest Market.
