TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Milan derby ended up in a draw as AC Milan and Inter Milan clashed earlier today at San Siro. The result came as a slightly negative start for the recently appointed Milan boss, Roberto Mancini, who replaced Walter Mazzarri.
In Derby della Madonnina, Milan booked the scoreline first with a goal from Jeremy Menez in the first half. Inter then equalized in the second half with a goal from Joel Obi.
The match went on to be quite furious as the referee saw 28 fouls, 17 of which were from Milan players. Regardless, the match turned out to be one of the matches seeing the most spectators in Serie A with 79,137 people packing the stadium for the match.
The draw at San Siro has brought Milan at seventh in the table with 18 points from 12 matches. Inter, now owned by Indonesian magnate Erick Thohir, sit at ninth witn 17 points.
