TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The city administration of Bekasi, West Java, claimed to be more prepared now in facing flood this year. Head of Social Department Bekasi City, Agus Dharma, said that the government has prepared 15 inflatable boats for its local area in anticipating flood.
“The preparation for flood this year is more organized than last year,” Agus said on Sunday, Nov 23. Last year, the govenment only had three inflatable boats. Now five of 15 boats have the engine capacity of 15 PK and 30 PK.
Other supporting equipments that have been prepared are three units of diving equipments, floating stretchers and floats. There are also 10 public kitchen equipments ready to be installed during flood. “All personnels are ready and there are more than 50 people,” Agus said.
