The Rolling Stones Fans Gathering at Sampurasun Concert

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Around 500 fans of legendary rock band The Rolling Stones in Bandung gathered to enjoy Sampurasun concert which was held in West Java Culture Park, or Dago, yesterday. More than a dozen of bands played over 120 songs of The Rolling Stones until midnight.
The initiator of the concert, Budi ‘Dalton’ Setiawan said to Tempo that it was set so that no song played more than once.
“Except if there is a guest star sing the song, then it is unavoidable,” said Budi.
According to Budi, the concert is aimed to be a gathering event for the fans of The Rolling Stones in Bandung. The fans had so far rarely meet in an open air music event.
“There are around 1,700 people in the Stones fans community in Bandung,” Budi added.
In addition to local bands, well-known national bands were also taking part in the concert, such as The Black & Blue with Kaka Slank and Steven Jam, Acid Speed Rock, Time Bomb Blues, Yuki Pas Band, and Maggy & Jikun /rif.
The concert started at 15:00 local time and end provide tight security. The organizer apply entrance ticket fee of Rp150,000 to indirectly screen the audiences.
