Pertamax Fuel Price to be Below Rp10,000 in December

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commerce and Marketing Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Hanung Budya said that the price of Pertamax fuel on December will likely to be below Rp10,000 per liter.

"It is highly influenced by Mean of Platts Singapore on November 2014," said Hanung. Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) is the oil index price in Singapore, serving as a reference to oil products transaction.

Hanung said that in the meantime, Pertamax price still refers to MOPS on October 2014. Therefore, the price lingers at Rp10,200 per liter.

With Pertamax fuel lowers at around Rp9,000 per liter, it is expected that Pertamax fuel consumption will increase in the upcoming months.

"We will also increase non-subsidy nozzles as much as 40 percent," said Hanung. Currently, Pertamax daily national consumption reaches 2,500 kiloliter. Within three months, it is expected to jump to 10,000 kiloliters per day.
