TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Parties under Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s coalition have accepted the reconciliation agreement with Prabowo Subianto’s coalition although both sides did not reach an agreement over a revision of article on the interpellation right in the Law Number 17/2004.
Johnny G. Plate, the deputy chief of the National Democratic (NasDem) Faction at the House of Representatives, said the reconciliation agreement would be signed by all House’s faction on Monday, November 17, 2014.
“Substantially, [all aspirations] have been accommodated, so we can proceed the reconciliation,” Johnny told Tempo on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
According to Johnny, Jokowi’s camp wanted 16 additional seats of the House’s internal bodies to 79 from 63. Johnny said Jokowi’s camp will gain 21 seats, while the rest of them belong to Prabowo’s coalition.
“After the reconciliation, we will submit names of commissioners,” Johnny added.
The reconciliation between the two coalitions was reached following a meeting between Pramono Agung, a speaker of Jokowi’s camp, and National Mandate Party (PAN) chairman Hatta Rajasa.
