TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - BlackBerry Ltd is manning up to survive the competition in the smartphone market dominated by iPhone and Android-based gadgets. This time, the Canadian manufacturer is teaming up with e-commerce giant Amazon to pin Amazon Application Store to catch up with Android’s Playstore and iPhone’s App Store.
“Amazon Application Store delivers 200 thousand applications,” said BlackBerry’s Head of Enterprise Solution for South East Asia, Sivadas Ramadas to Tempo on Tuesday, November 11.
Ramadas said that the Application Store is featured on newly-launched BlackBerry Passport. The app is suppported by BlackBerry World which is in the process of improvement.
“To accommodate more applications for use by users.”
Ramadas is optimistic Amazon App Store and BlackBerry World duet will be able to shake popularity of Android and iPhone that use only one application stores. He claimed that BlackBerry is one step ahead to satisfy costumers need.
